How To Select Multiple Elements In Canva App

Did you know that you can select multiple elements in Canva? This is a great time-saving tip if you need to make changes to multiple elements at once! It’s a pretty simple process even beginners can follow without any trouble.

On a computer, hold “Shift” while clicking each element you want to select. The selected elements have outlines, so you can tell which ones are part of your current selection. You can also drag a selection box across several elements with your mouse.

The screenshot below shows the desktop selection. On the Canva mobile app, tap and hold an element, choose “Select multiple”, then tap the other elements you want to include. This touch menu replaces the Shift-click action used on a computer.

After everything you want to adjust is selected, you can move the elements together or resize them with a corner handle. The toolbar offers the controls available for your selection; selecting a photo and a text box together does not make every text or photo effect apply to both. If you pick up an element by mistake on desktop, hold Shift and click it again to drop it from the selection. Choose “Group” if you want the elements to stay together when you select them later. And that’s it! Now you know how to quickly and easily select multiple elements in Canva.
