One of the interesting features of Zoom is that it allows you to record your meetings. This is an excellent feature if you want to share the meeting with people who weren’t able to attend or if you want to review the meeting later. But where do these recordings go?
Zoom offers two types of recording, which are local and cloud records. Local recording means that the recording is stored on your computer (free), while cloud recording is stored on Zoom’s servers (paid).
Today, we’re going to take a look at where Zoom stores its recordings and how you can access them.

Access The Meeting Records from the Zoom Website
Whether you have a local or cloud recording, you can always access it from the Zoom website. Here are the steps you need to follow to access the Zoom recordings from their website:
1. Go to Zoom.us and log in to your account.
2. Now go to My Account and click on “Recording” from the options on the left of the screen.

3. You will find the cloud or local records under the perspective tabs on the new page.

Finding the Zoom Meeting Records on your PC
You can also easily find the locally recorded Zoom meeting on your PC. All you need to do is browse the directory where the meetings are saved.
1. The default directory for storing local recordings on Windows PC is:
C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Zoom
2. The default directory for storing local recordings on Mac PC is:
/Users/[Username]/Documents/Zoom
3. For the Linux PC, the meetings are saved in this directory:
home/[Username]/Documents/Zoom
You can simply go to Documents and File Manager to find the Zoom recording folder. Another easy way to find the folder is to search for “Zoom” using the search option on File Manager/ File Explorer.

Note that these are the default or pre-set file paths where Zoom automatically saves the records. You can always change the path if you want.
Can I Record a Zoom Meeting on my Mobile?
You can record Zoom Meetings to the Cloud from both Android and iOS smartphones. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to record locally on your phone. (You need to have the Cloud Recording enabled for this)
You will have to open the Zoom app and then create or join a meeting to start recording. While in the meeting, tap on the “More” option at the bottom right corner of the screen and then select “Record”/”Record to the Cloud.” The recording will start automatically and will be saved to the cloud.

As we said earlier, you will need to be a paid user to be able to store the recordings on the cloud. Moreover, you need to be the meeting host to start recording the meeting. Once the recording is complete, you can find them on the Zoom website, as we said earlier.
If you have recorded the meeting on Cloud, you can easily share it with anyone through a link. You can find the shareable link by pressing “Share” beside the recording file under the Cloud Recordings on the Zoom website.
There is no direct way to share a local zoom meeting record, but you can upload it to any cloud storage like Google Drive, DropBox, etc., and then share the link.
Conclusion
Recording Zoom meetings is a great way to preserve important conversations and meetings. And now that you know where Zoom saves its recordings, it will be easy for you to access and share them. We hope the above write-up was helpful for you.
