The eyedropper is a tool that allows you to precisely find the color of an image in your presentation. With it, you can easily match the color scheme of your presentation with the colors from your pictures.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to use the eyedropper tool in PowerPoint.

Using the eyedropper
Whenever there is an option to change an element’s color, you can change the color using the eyedropper tool.
To use the eyedropper, you must also have a reference color within the presentation as a source.
Using it in texts
1. Highlight the text you wish to change color.
2. Under “Format”, choose “Text Fill”.
3. Click the eyedropper.

4. Click on the color that you wish to apply to the text.
5. Done!

Using it in shapes/icons
With shapes and icons you get two options for the eyedropper: you can recolor the outline, or you can fill the inside of the shape. The steps are nearly identical, so once you learn one you can do the other just as quickly.
For the outline:
1. Click on the shape or icon.

3. Click the eyedropper.
4. Click on the color that you wish to apply to the outline.

1. Click on the shape or icon.
2. Under “Format”, choose “Shape Fill”.
3. Click the eyedropper.

4. Click on the color that you wish to apply to fill in the color.
5. Done!
