Paste your script, choose a comfortable reading speed and practise aloud. Your script stays in this browser tab.
Add a script to begin.
Focus the reading area and press Space to start or pause, or Home to reset. Escape leaves full screen. Adjust speed while reading; scroll manually while paused.
Instructions
- Paste Your script and choose Text size, Side margins and Scroll speed.
- Use Mirror text for a reflective teleprompter only when your setup needs it.
- Select Start and adjust the speed as you rehearse. Focus the reading area to use Space for start or pause.
- Use Reset to beginning for another run, and Full screen when supported.
Understanding your results
Scroll speed is pixels per second rather than words per minute. Larger text changes how much script fits on screen, so the same speed can feel different after resizing. Read a short passage aloud first, aiming to speak naturally and keep your eyes near the camera.
What to do if the script moves too quickly or full screen does not open
Lower Scroll speed and check the text size. Pause before editing because script changes reset the reading position. Some browsers or embedded views restrict full screen; continue in the normal reading area if unavailable. Keep a separate copy of your original script.
Using this tool in your browser
Your script is handled in this browser tab and is not uploaded or saved automatically by the tool. Keep the original in your own document before leaving or reloading. JavaScript is required. On a phone, adjust the text and margins to suit the screen; full screen depends on browser support.
Summary
Set the reading view around your delivery and practise looking up from the text.
More tips for your practice
- Scroll speed is measured in pixels per second, so larger type takes longer to pass through the screen. Try a short practice run before a full rehearsal.
- Pause before editing your script. Script changes reset the reading position; your text is never uploaded or saved automatically.
- Mirror mode flips only the reading text. Full screen depends on browser support. Keep your eyes near the camera and use the script as a guide rather than reading every word.
