Paste a speech to estimate its delivery time. Add time for pauses, audience reactions, and demonstrations, then compare the estimate with your slot.
This is a planning estimate. Rehearse aloud with the actual slides and activities to check the timing.
Instructions
- Paste spoken material into Your speech, removing stage directions.
- Set Speaking pace (words per minute) using a timed rehearsal if possible.
- Add Additional pauses and activities (seconds) and an optional Available slot (minutes, optional).
- Select Estimate time, then Download estimate to keep the result.
Understanding your results
A 1,300-word script at 130 words per minute takes about ten minutes before pauses. Questions, demonstrations and audience reactions need their own allowance. The result estimates a plan from your inputs; it does not listen to you or measure your delivery.
What to do if the estimate is shorter than your rehearsal
Check you included pauses and activities, then calculate your actual pace from the spoken word count and timed speaking duration. Technical words, slide changes and audience responses can slow you down. Rehearse again with the material you will actually present.

Use the estimate to plan your first draft and a timed rehearsal to check the final version.
