Set team names, speech lengths, and the number of rounds. Each round contains one speech from each team, in the order shown.
Ready when you are
Set your timing, then press Start.
Instructions
- Enter First team and Second team in the required speaking order.
- Set Rounds and Speech time (minutes). Each round includes one speech from each team.
- Add Preparation before the debate (minutes) if needed, then select Start.
- Use Pause and Resume for handovers, or Reset before changing the format.
Understanding your results
Three rounds create six speeches, alternating the two teams. Preparation, when included, runs once before the first speech. The sequence advances automatically and gives a visual countdown without a sound. Check the sequence matches your event rules before using it.
What to do if the speaking order or total seems wrong
Count rounds as pairs of speeches, not individual speeches. Check the team order and preparation value, then Reset to revise settings. Pause between speakers if a handover needs extra time; the tool cannot judge whether a speaker has finished.
Using this tool in your browser
The timer runs in your browser with JavaScript enabled. It does not record audio or save the session. Keep a separate copy of your settings or agenda before closing the tab. On a phone, keep the page visible and the device awake; full screen availability depends on the browser.
Summary
Use a clear visual signal and confirm the format with both teams before the debate starts.
