Build confidence thinking on your feet. Choose a subject and challenge level, draw a prompt, then give a short structured response.
Choose your filters, then pick a prompt.
Your next speaking challenge will appear here.
Preparation runs first, then speaking. Set preparation to zero to start speaking immediately.
Try: make one clear point, give a reason or example, then finish by returning to your point. Filters start a fresh draw cycle; prompts do not repeat within a cycle.
Instructions
- Choose Subject and Difficulty, then select Pick a prompt.
- Read the question and set Preparation time (seconds) and Speaking time (seconds).
- Select Start practice timer. Preparation runs first and speaking starts automatically.
- Use Pause timer or Reset timer as needed, and Copy prompt or Save as text to keep the question.
Understanding your results
Try making one clear point, giving a reason or example, and returning to that point at the end. Difficulty changes the kind of challenge rather than grading your answer. The timer provides structure; the tool does not record audio or assess your performance.
What to do if the timer begins speaking immediately or prompts repeat
Preparation set to zero starts speaking immediately. Prompts do not repeat within a draw cycle, but changing filters starts a new cycle and a completed cycle can begin again. If copying is blocked by your browser, use Save as text.
Using this tool in your browser
This tool handles your entries in your browser with JavaScript enabled and does not save them automatically. Use the download or print controls described in the instructions to keep a copy before closing or reloading the page. On a phone, your browser controls where downloads go and which print options are available.
Summary
Regular short practice sessions help you get comfortable shaping an answer with limited preparation.
More tips for your practice
- Easy prompts draw on familiar experiences. Medium prompts ask you to explain or persuade. Hard prompts introduce competing priorities, restrictions or unfamiliar perspectives.
- The preparation and speaking timers are optional. The speaking phase starts automatically when preparation ends; the timer uses elapsed time even if you switch tabs.
- Use Copy prompt or Save as text to keep the current question. The picker and timer work locally in your browser and do not record audio.
