The classic 20 × 20 format runs for 6 minutes 40 seconds. Track the current slide and the seconds remaining, or adjust the format to fit your rehearsal.
This timer indicates slide changes; it does not control your presentation software.
Ready when you are
Set your timing, then press Start.
Instructions
- Set Number of slides and Seconds per slide. Keep 20 and 20 for the classic format.
- Select Start to begin the first slide countdown.
- Use Pause and Resume to practise a difficult section without losing your place.
- Select Reset for another run or to change the settings, and Full screen if useful.
Understanding your results
Twenty slides at twenty seconds each total six minutes forty seconds. The display advances its slide number automatically. It indicates when to change slides, but it does not control your presentation software, load a slide deck or synchronise with another app.
What to do if your slides and the timer drift apart
Start the slide deck and timer together, then check both use the same slide duration. If your software advances slides automatically, practise the full sequence. Reset both for a fresh attempt; pause both if you stop midway through rehearsal.
Using this tool in your browser
The timer runs in your browser with JavaScript enabled. It does not record audio or save the session. Keep a separate copy of your settings or agenda before closing the tab. On a phone, keep the page visible and the device awake; full screen availability depends on the browser.
Summary
Practise transitions as well as individual slides so the whole sequence feels comfortable.
