Presentation Timer

← All presentation tools

Choose your speaking time and when you want a visual warning. Use full screen to keep the countdown visible across a room.

Ready when you are

00:00

Set your timing, then press Start.

Instructions

  1. Set Speaking time (minutes) for your talk.
  2. Set Warning with this many minutes left, within the speaking duration.
  3. Select Start; use Pause and Resume when you need to stop and continue.
  4. Use Full screen if supported, and Reset before changing the settings for another run.

Understanding your results

The countdown turns amber at your warning point and shows overtime after the slot ends. For a ten-minute talk with a two-minute warning, use the amber display as a cue to move towards your close. No sound is played, so arrange a visible signal if someone else is timing you.

What to do if the settings cannot be changed or the warning is rejected

Select Reset to unlock the settings. Keep the warning no longer than the talk. Full screen depends on browser support; the normal display still works. Keep the page open and the device awake so the countdown remains visible.

Using this tool in your browser

The timer runs in your browser with JavaScript enabled. It does not record audio or save the session. Keep a separate copy of your settings or agenda before closing the tab. On a phone, keep the page visible and the device awake; full screen availability depends on the browser.

Summary

Use the warning as a rehearsal checkpoint and practise delivering your close within the slot.
