Customization is a powerful way to present your presentation in a unique fashion. Even something as simple as changing the style of bullets can have a subtle impact on your audience and will make the presentation more personal.
In this article, I will be showing you how to change the bullet style and color in PowerPoint.
Changing Bullets
Bullets help you organize ideas and draw the eye to key points, so it pays to pick a style that suits the tone of your slides. A clean, consistent bullet style also keeps a busy slide from feeling cluttered.
1. Highlight the data you want to add/change bullets.
2. In home, click the dropdown button by the bullets section.
3. Select “Bullets and Numbering…”

4. From there, you may choose a variety of bullets. You may also want to use other symbols as bullets by using the “Customize…” feature.

5. Done!

Adding Custom Bullets
PowerPoint has a feature that lets you add your own bullets by using your own pictures. Here’s how:
1. Highlight the bullets you want to add/change
2. In home, click the dropdown button by the bullets section.
3. Select “Bullets and Numbering…”

4. Select “Picture…”

5. Choose which source you want your picture to come from. Either from your own documents or from the internet.
6. Insert the image

7. Done!

Changing Bullet Fonts and colors
Changing the font color of the letters, words, or sentence next to the bullet will automatically change the font color of the bullet.

The only time the bullet font will change is when it’s being used for numbering purposes.
Conclusion
Whether you want to swap the bullet shape or drop in your own images and symbols, PowerPoint gives you plenty of room to shape the look of your slides. A handful of clicks is usually all it takes to give your bullets a distinctive style that fits your message and your audience.
