Zoom Not Connecting (10 Easy Fixes)

1. Check Your Internet Connection

First, you should check your internet connection to see if that is the problem. If you’re using a wired connection, check to see if the Ethernet cable is properly plugged in.

If you’re using a wireless connection, make sure the router is turned on and functioning properly. You may also want to try restarting the router to see if that helps. Another thing you can consider doing is to move close to the router to ensure you have a strong connection.

2. Disable VPN

If you are using a VPN, you may want to consider disabling it. The Zoom app is banned in some countries, so using a VPN can cause connection problems.

To check your DNS settings, press “Win+R” and write “ncpa.cpl” in the Run box and then press OK.

Then right-click on the Network settings (Wi-Fi/Ethernet, based on which one you are using). Then press “Properties”.

Now double click on “Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4).” Make sure that the “Obtain an IP address automatically” and “Obtain DNS server address automatically” options are selected. Press Ok to save the setting.

8. Reset Network Settings

To reset network settings on Windows 10, press “Win+R” and write “cmd”. Then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter.

ipconfig /flushdns

After doing so, close the window and restart your computer and check if Zoom works.

9. Update Zoom App
